First pond fill complete and the main filtration connected

Quick progress update, the first pond fill is complete which is another significant milestone. All the input and return ball valves in the filter house have been closed so the pressure test can begin.

From the first pair bottom drain and skimmer the pipe work has been completed

  • 4" pipe from bottom drain (A) into sieve (A)
  • 4" pipe from skimmer (A) split to a y with one side going into sieve (A) and the other (as a balancer pipe (A) in allow increased flow) into Flow Friend (A)
  • Sieve (A) to Roto Concept Gravity Shower (A)
  • Roto Concept Gravity Shower (A) to 18k sequence pump (A)
  • 18k sequence pump (A) to the 2" return pressure pipe (A1)
  • Flow Friend (A) to the 2" return pressure pipe (A2)

From the second pair bottom drain (B) and skimmer (B) the pipe work has been completed with an independent B side of filtration (all the same) except for addition of UV
  • 18k sequence pump (B) into a TMC Pro 110w UV
  • TMC Pro 110w UV into a 2" return pressure pipe (B2)

We have also marked out where the new patio will go next to the pond with wooden markers.

We have an airlock in the skimmer lines and a few drips from 4" ball valves in the filter house but these are all in hand and are being resolved.

Next step is to run the system for a few days to ensure it all performs as planned and to ensure no water loss.
